Want to coach or be an assistant coach your child's team? Perhaps your schedule only allows time to assist maintain our fields?
Snack Bar
The Snack Bar provides both a service to those attending our fields and games, and it also serves as a fundraiser for our Little League. Each year we’ve been able to improve the process and earn more funds for our kids! A description of the various volunteer opportunities is outlined below.
Snack Bar Volunteer Opportunities:
- Shift Volunteers
Each family is asked to volunteer 1 shift in the snack bar which is approximately 2.5 hours long.
- Scheduling Coverage
Organizes the schedules for the shift volunteers among all little league teams for the regular season and travel team games.
- Pretzel Pickups
Place order, pick up fresh pretzels at The Philly Pretzel Company in Glenside and deliver to snack bar.
- Openers/Closers
Duties for opening snack bar include unlocking the bathrooms, counting the starting bank, and getting things started until the shift coverage arrive at 5:15. The closer returns at dusk (around 7:30) to make sure things are re-stocked, money is counted and everything is locked up for the night.
- Inventory Shopping
Weekly shopping as needed for snack bar items such as candy, Gatorade, dog/burger rolls.
- Inventory Contacts
Monitoring stock and placing weekly orders with our contacts at Dietz and Watson, CocaCola, and Jack and Jill.
- Clean Up
Prepare for Opening Day by cleaning up the Snack Bar in March. Possible mid-season clean up as well.
