Travel Club Information

WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?

Springfield Baseball Club (SBC) operates independently from but closely with SLL. SBC's main purpose is to coordinate and manage Springfield township travel baseball programs for boys aged 8 to 14 years old. 

There are tryouts.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Our base registration fee ranges from $75 to $125 depending on the division. Each additional child sibling receives a discount of $20 off the base registration. There is an additional $25 fundraiser fee (first child only).

Each player will receive a team hat and matching baseball jersey.

SBC places teams in both the Suburban Travel Baseball League (ages 9 - 14) and in the Connie Mack Baseball League (ages 13 - 14). For more information on these competitive leagues please visit www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?url=suburbantravel or https://bmcm.homestead.com/

SBC teams also plays Fall-Ball from mid-September - late October against other local Little League and/or Cal Ripken teams. Ages 8 - 12 teams all participate in Fall-Ball at no cost. Games are generally once a week on weekends and the goal of Fall Ball is to maintain player skills and reps and to develop players overall baseball skills. There are also a very limited number of practices. SBC and SLL encourages kids to participate in other sports and welcome baseball to be a lesser priority to the other "in-season" sports. 

SBC provides winter workout opportunities for invited players from early January thru late March at local facilities. Ages 8 - 15 get professional and SBC coached training at Uncommon Baseball. Costs change annually but generally run $250 - $300 per player. 

IS THERE A SNACK BAR?

Our Snack bar is powered by parent participation.  We need you help.  Snack Bar duties are available throughout the season.  If you do not wish to volunteer for snack bar duty, we offer a $75 opt out fee.

Some of the food and beverages available to purchase throughout the season include: soft pretzels, hot dogs, breakfast sandwiches, candy, frozen desserts, soda, water, etc.  

Venmo and cash are accepted.
